About the Site

The following is designed to be a parenting course dealing with universal issues regarding the raising and sustenance of our children. However, it is categorically NOT intended to be a vehicle for the discussion of contemporary concerns such as MRSA, West Nile, or whether or not to get the flu vaccine for your toddler this winter. Not that I don’t enjoy discussing questions such as these, because I do, and I do so on a daily basis in my office. But that is not the focus of Real Pediatrics.

Your comments are not only welcomed but encouraged. I am passionate about nearly everything involving the world of pediatrics. I have many concepts to convey and opinions to offer on a wide variety of subjects related to children, but I want to hear from you. Therefore it will be the readers who are going to be the ones to decide the topic to be discussed next. What are your interests, which are your needs, and where could you use a bit of advice or instruction? So here’s how this is going to work: simply press the vote button, highlight your selection from the topic menu, press send, your ballot will be recorded, and after a suitable interval the most popular choice becomes the next to be posted. How’s that? Pretty cool, huh?

So go ahead, make your pick, keep in touch, and please feel free to pass this along to your friends so they may join in the fun. The more the merrier....
